We aim to show the real life of Riga on these rides and our routes reflect this. On a Riga Bike Tour we can zip from one district to another, cruise along a vast network of bike lanes, see sites that are out of reach for most visitors and do so all on the comfort of a bicycle.

Why is Riga so good for a bike tour? Riga barely has any hills! That is right, this city is as flat as the Netherlands! With plenty of space in the streets and relaxed traffic we have found that bicycles are by far the best way to discover Riga.

We have been running bike tours in Riga since 2007 and have seen how visitors can really benefit from using bicycles to explore the city. On a bike tour of Riga you will get a totally different perspective of your surroundings. Our walking tours are great, but the bike tours, these are our favourite tours to run!

The Riga bike tour covers a lot of history and areas at the same time. Mostly we focus on the period from the end of the Russian Empire, Revolution, War of Independence, 20th Century Latvia, 2nd Word War and Soviet and Nazi Occupations.
The subjects covered in the tour can be quite heavy but this is all mixed into a cycling experience we can understand the complex past as well as enjoying beautiful and interesting districts.
On our bike tours we have met many people who are part of Riga's story. Some of you who join us are decedents of people who once lived here in Riga and if this is you, feel free to reach out to us before, maybe we can pass by an address that is connected to your family on the tour.
